Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) was developed by Dr. Donald Epstein, DC over 30 years ago. He combined aspects of multiple chiropractic techniques (such as Sacro-Occipital Technique/SOT, Logan basic, and Thompson Technique) to offer a unique approach to chiropractic care. What he created with NSA is a systematic and evidence based path to wellness and body awareness.
When a person is sick or in pain, the body is crying out for CHANGE. We don't want to "get rid of this" and return to our prior state, but rather find a new level of wellness, not previously achieved. The goal is NOT to restore the person back to where they were BEFORE getting sick or hurt, because that state is what led to the illness or injury. The purpose of NSA is to upgrade a person’s nervous system for full health expression and optimal wellbeing.
Working with areas of ease in the body that are most energized, instead of focusing on the "problem," helps to redirect that energy throughout the system. By identifying the neural tension phases in a person, we are able to help the body unlock itself from old, stuck and dysfunctional patterns. NSA uses a very light force to help the body reconnect to the nervous system. This helps restore a full breath wave, creates a feeling of calm, releases stored tension, and supports optimal functioning of the body system as a whole. The goal is to produce the greatest effect with the least intervention. By doing this, the individual is empowered to shift from defense physiology to greater ease and peace in their body. During care, practice members achieve greater brain-body awareness and develop new strategies to release stored tension and stress, often experiencing profound changes in their lives, beyond what they were originally seeking.
Dr. Forrest-Readdy, DC has completed all 3 levels of NSA training to provide you will a full scope of care to support you in all stages of your journey.
